Island Air Weather Minimums.

​Dual Cross-Country Flights: Done at the discretion of the instructor, keeping in mind the student must derive a learning benefit from this experience.

 

Solo Cross-Country Flights: This will depend on the student’s ability, preparation, and confidence level. All instructional flights require a pre-flight briefing by a qualified instructor and are at the discretion of the Chief Flight Instructor.

 

Pilots are prohibited from operating a land aircraft over water, except when conducting a take-off or landing, beyond a point where the aircraft could reach shore in the event of an engine failure.
